About Hunter Ground Search
Hunter Ground Search is a local family-owned and operated business that was originally established to provide aid to the community after the Newcastle earthquake in 1989.
Underground utilities are the invisible and sometimes not so invisible casualties of earthquakes. Naturally, there was a high demand for cable and pipe locating expertise at this time, to safely demolish and rebuild.

Over time, we developed our range of excavating services and built on our reputation for cable and pipe location and water leak detection. We also expanded our services into all aspects of underground utility works. Our existing core business of more than 40 years and Alan Hunter Plumbing was merged into Hunter Ground Search.
